Six years strong

Six years ago today, I married my best friend. On a Friday like today.

I don’t remember being nervous at all, just ready. Ready to begin the next step in my life with the person that sometimes knows me better than I know myself.

The thing I remember most from our wedding day was when our flower girl, who was four and most likely too young to be the flower girl,  was being chased by our three year old niece because she wasn’t sharing her chips. The two little girls were running circles around Rob and I at the altar and our pastor stopped, told everyone to look at the girls, and told Rob that that is what we have to look forward to. I think everyone in the church laughed, but that is one of my favorite memories from our wedding day.

I hope everyone has memories of their own wedding like that, perhaps things that may not have gone quite to plan, but ended up being perfect anyways.

I won’t lie, we’ve had our ups and our downs, but we have been very blessed. We have the most adorable little girl in the world, and even if everyone says she looks just like her daddy, I’ll cross my fingers that a little of me is thrown in there, too. 😉 We have a home full of laughter and loudness and love, and of course we have each other.

So, six down and a lifetime more to go. Happy anniversary.

And just because a post is nothing without pictures, here is us, as taken by Rob’s mom. I swear that is the only way that we ever get family shots of the three of us!
