Let me start out by saying that it’s not very often that we end up shooting our engaged couples by ourselves. Usually Rob and I are both out for the shoot, but for Shannon and Chris’ engagement shoot, it was all me. Which was more fun than I thought it would be, and of course my pictures were better than Rob’s, it’s an ongoing battle between the two of us, who’s pictures are better, ya know.
Anyways, back to the topic on hand. We decided to hit Pewitt’s Nest right outside of Baraboo for the engagement session. I’m always looking for the way that the light is flowing, yes light flows, so we’ll be walking and suddenly I’ll say, “wait! Come back, now step right in here . . . oh, watch out for that pricker bush-” or something like that. I’m always looking around for new and awesomer backdrops for my clients. The day we went out to Pewitt’s Nest was perfect, the leaves were turning a gorgeous yellow, and even some orange, we had most of the trails to ourselves, so Shannon and Chris didn’t feel too funny with all that lovey dovey stuff I make people do on these kind of shoots. Yes, I will ask you to hug your intended, and I hope you do it well or I’ll keep at you until I’m satisfied. 😉
Not only did I get some awesome shots of Shannon and Chris, but they brought their puppy, err giant dog, for some shots. I got a killer jump shot. Take a look, and as always, I love to hear what you have to say!
Brie, you are an amazing photographer! Our giant dog liked you too! We loved all of our pictures. Like i said before, i can’t wait for the wedding to see what pictures you create.
That second to the last image is cute 🙂
Such killer photos — I’m sure they love them!!
These are just lovely. I adore that ring shot.
Lovely images! There’s great sense of environment and you’ve really framed the chemistry between Shannon & Chris.

Really lovely images! I love the location, the colours from the trees are fantastic and compliment her gorgeous hair!
What a fun session! Love that they brought their dog along for it too!
Wow, what a beautiful location! I really like the black and white one where you are shooting down at them.
Great job on these. That ravine with the rock formation is awesome I only wish we had those out here in Socal.
